⚠️ Never add ACV directly to the fish tank. Always rinse harvested vinegar eels through fine mesh with dechlorinated water 2–3 times before adding to fry tank. Acetic acid harms fish even in small amounts.
💡 Maintenance tip: Add a small splash of fresh ACV monthly to refresh acidity. Always maintain 2 jars started 4–6 weeks apart — culture crash will not leave fry without food.

🧪 Quick Culture Guide

  • 50% ACV + 50% dechlorinated water in clean glass jar; 60–70% full; apple slice for nutrients.
  • Cloth cover secured tightly — fruit flies are the biggest culture risk; prevent entry from day 1.
  • Harvest: torch on top 45 min → pipette surface → rinse through coffee filter → add to fry tank.
First week Betta fry: Vinegar eels days 1–7; transition to baby brine shrimp from day 5. Combine both day 5–10 for best fry growth rate during the transition window.
