Rare copper-bronze colour morph of the wild Mahachai betta — warm burnished iridescence that shifts between copper, rose-gold and amber. Male currently in stock.
The Copper Mahachai is the rarest and most prized colour morph of Betta mahachaiensis. Where the standard form shows cool teal-green iridescence, the copper morph displays a warm, burnished metallic body — rich copper-bronze that catches light and shifts through rose-gold and amber tones with every movement. This colour is entirely natural and genetic, not artificially selected.
Like all Mahachai bettas it originates from the coastal wetlands of Samut Sakhon, Thailand and retains full wild temperament — elaborate displays, bubblenesting, and courtship behaviour that make it one of the most fascinating bettas to keep. The copper colouration continues to develop and deepen with age and live food conditioning.
