📅 Juvenile = not ready to breed yet. Breeding maturity at 3–4 months from sale. Full adult colour visible at 10–14 weeks. Judge colour quality then, not at sale.
⚠️ Separate male at the FIRST flare — not first fight. Juvenile fins are fragile. Act on the day flaring begins.

🐟 Grow-Out Keys

  • 3–4 small meals daily: Most important growth driver. Each meal consumed in 2–3 min. Remove uneaten food immediately.
  • 30–40% water change every 2–3 days: Ammonia from frequent feeding is the main growth limiter; clean water is as important as food frequency.
  • Spirulina 2–3×/wk: Best xanthophyll source for yellow colour development during grow-out. Rotate with Blood Worm Sticks and microworms.
Microworms cross-sell: Microworms (available in this catalog) are ideal juvenile Betta food — live, moving, high-protein, correct size for juveniles. Feeding response to live microworms vs dry food is visibly more vigorous.
